The hull is made of fibreglass. A hull made of fibreglass requires only a minimum of maintenance during the sailing season.
The hull shape is deep V. Generally, a deep V hull gives a more comfortable cruise because it helps the boat cut through waves while minimizing impacts, help the boat bank into turns, and throw less spray. However, a deep V hull reduces stability and requires more power.
The boat is equipped with 4 berths and 189 liters (49 US gallons, 41 imperial gallons) fresh water capacity.
DaggerBoard aka Sword
The Corsair 36 is built with a daggerboard keel. A daggerboard is a lifting keel that can be lowered and raised vertically, allowing the boat to enter shallow waters as well.
The boat can enter even shallow marinas as the draft is just about 0.61 - 0.71 meter (2.00 - 2.30 ft) dependent on the load. See immersion rate below.
