The Faurby 360 is a sailboat designed by the Danish maritime architect Niels Peter Faurby. The Faurby 360 is built by the Danish yard Faurby Yachts A/S (1990).

Hull

Both the hull and the deck is made of fibreglass. Generally, a hull made of fibreglass requires only a minimum of maintenance during the sailing season.


Interior

The interior is like most other boats made of teak. Teak has the advantage of being naturally very oily and therefore water-repellent, which is suitable on boats.
The boat is equipped with 3 cabins, 6 berths, a galley, 200.0 liter fresh water capacity, toilet facility and 45.0 liter waste water capacity.


Rig

The boat has more than one rig.

One option is a fractional rig. A fractional rig has smaller headsails which make tacking easier, which is an advantage for cruisers and racers, of course. The downside is that having the wind from behind often requires a gennaker or a spinnaker for optimal speed.


Keel

Unknown keel type

The keel is made of lead. Compared with iron, lead has the advantage of being 44% heavier, which allows a smaller keel and hence less water resistance and higher speed.

Faurby 360 can enter most marinas as the draft is just about 1.70 - 1.80 meter (5.58 - 5.88 ft) dependent on the load. See immersion rate below.


Engine

The Faurby 360 has been equipped with different engine alternatives.

Alternative 1:

The boat may be equipped with an inboard Volvo Penta MD2030 diesel engine

The transmission is a saildrive.

The boat may be equipped with an inboard Volvo Penta D1-30 diesel engine at 27 hp (20 kW). Calculated max speed is about 6.4 knots
