Hull

The hull is made of hand laid fibreglass while the deck is made of fibreglass. Generally, a hull made of hand laid fibreglass requires only a minimum of maintenance during the sailing season. And outside the sailing season, just bottom cleaning and perhaps anti-fouling painting once a year - a few hours of work, that's all.


Interior

The interior is like most other boats made of teak. Teak has the advantage of being naturally very oily and therefore water-repellent, which is suitable on boats.
The boat is equipped with 2 cabins, 8 berths, a galley, 100.0 liter fresh water capacity and toilet facility.


Keel

The boat can enter even shallow marinas as the draft is just about 0.95 - 1.05 meter (3.12 - 3.42 ft) dependent on the load. See immersion rate below.


Engine

The Nidelv 28 has been equipped with different engine alternatives.

Alternative 1:

Nidelv 28 may be equipped with an inboard Volvo Penta TMD 40 diesel engine at 123 hp (91 kW). Max speed is 19.0 knots.

The transmission is a shaft drive. A shaft drive will in the long run require less maintenance than other types of drive e.g. a sail drive.

Alternative 2:

The boat may be equipped with an inboard Volvo Penta TAM 30A diesel engine at 110 hp (81 kW).

Alternative 3:

The boat may be equipped with an inboard Volvo Penta D3 diesel engine at 130 hp (96 kW). Cruise speed is 8.0 knots. Max speed is 15.0 knots.

The transmission is a shaft drive. A shaft drive will in the long run require less maintenance than other types of drive e.g. a sail drive.

Alternative 4:

Nidelv 28 may be equipped with an inboard Volvo Penta diesel engine at 106 hp (78 kW).

The fuel tank, which is made of stainless steel, has a capacity of 320.0 liters (84 US gallons, 70 imperial gallons).
