The Lapworth 36 also known as L 36 is a sailboat designed by the maritime architect C. William Lapworth in the early fifties. Less than 100 boats have been produced. The Lapworth 36 is built by the American yard Chapman & KA.

Hull

The Lapworth 36 is equipped with a masthead rig. The advantage of a masthead rig is its simplicity and the fact that a given sail area - compared with a fractional rig - can be carried lower and thus with less heeling moment.
